Here, Everyday Life &
Conscious Aging Is Celebrated & Shared
(With Occasional, Outrageous and Insightful Crone-Tri-Butions)
The "Kalanemi" or Rim of the Great Star Wheel of Time
at the edge of the universe was thought to embody the spirit of the zodiac, and was sometimes depicted as a World Serpent
circling the earth, tail in mouth. One had to study the Kalanemi in order to learn "kalends", the chronological order
of the seasons and festivals as the great star wheel turned. They were the New Moon Sabbaths of ancient Latinium. The
lunar calendar was used in Saxon England where the month of May was known as "SproutKale", the sprouting time of
Virgin Mother earth with her archaic name of Kale, Kelle, or Kali. "Nemi" in Greco Roman culture meant Moon-grove. The
ancient astrologers viewed the zodiac/star wheel as the sacred Moon grove thru which She traveled. Here, you will find that the "everyday" and every crone/cronie's story counts as important. All are invited to
join the Moon and I as we change, laugh, cry and celebrate during our journey around the Star Wheel of the ancient Moon-grove.
A Woman's journey from Birth, throughout her
Maiden and Motherhood years, winding its way through many Lunar Phases and Progressions towards Cronedom can
be a journey of empowerment for the woman who challenges stereotypes and chooses to embrace her personal uniqueness as it
unfolds. No one who has lived long enough to experience their Uranus Opposition (when transiting Uranus opposes
it's natal position) is exempt from experiencing mid-life transits. However, all can benefit from greeting such life
transitions as a cosmic opportunity to begin to balance the left and right (male/female) side of our brains, which
in turn helps us to begin to understand and heal ourselves, one another, our relationships and our communities.

New Moon Dreamboards
November 1, 2008 1-3 pm
In The Studio, at The Herb Wyfe
The monthly New Moon is a perfect time to begin envisioning any dreams you'd like to bring
to fruition. We'll be covering the meaning of the 12 signs and houses of the zodiac, how they correspond to different
areas of our lives, as well as discovering which house in your Natal chart each New Moon falls in 2009. We
will then explore how we can "plant" a whole year's worth of New Moon "seeds" by creating personal & unique dreamboards
that reflect our individual dreams, hopes and wishes.
Please bring a blank posterboard, a notebook, old or new magazines, your natal chart and
fondest dreams. Scissors, glue and additional old magazines will be supplied. Don't have a natal chart yet? Just let
Debi know and she can have one ready for you at the time of class. Cost for class: $40. Class & chart
$45.

Feeling a Little Stunned
Lately, writing posts or "forecasts" right now just seems too "glib" to me
given what's going on in the world, so I've been dragging my feet in posting the New Moon Kalends. No doubt it's also
this Saturn ruled Capricorn Moon transiting my 12th house affecting my mood, but I believe in
honoring my feelings, so that's just what I've been doing during this Balsamic Moon phase - along with some deep thinking.
The New Moon in the morning (Monday) at 7:03 am (EST) at 20CAPRICORN21 is opposite my natal
6th house Mars/Uranus conjunction, so I've decided to get cracking and utilize this transit by doing some weight lifting at the
health club with my husband. I feel so much better when I do. For me it's been a time to take a
look at any deep-seated patterns/habits that may be affecting my health and do something about them! As usual,
each month from the time the Moon moves into the sign of the New Moon, (which this month was Sat. nite (1/8) at
11:11 pm EST) until the actual time of the New Moon is the optimum time to plant the seeds or set
into action any plans for the month. Today transiting Venus moved into Capricorn and tonite Mercury joins her there
at 11:09 pm lending a steady hand to any difficult creative design like sculpture or architecture (or writing that
novel). A great time to carefully map out what your plans are for long term success. Monday's New Moon may
find us pondering just what those personal definitions of success are, and how to go about pursuing them while
remaining responsbile to the current obligations in our lives. In other words, don't quit your day job just
yet! The Capricorn New Moon shifts into Aquarious at 10:07 pm (EST) Monday nite, helping us think up innovative new ways of
doing things.

Another New Year, Another New Moon Comin'
1/4 - Tuesday. Moon just moved into Scorpio at 7:00 pm (EST).
So, are you ready to do some more inner work during the upcoming "Dark of the Moon" phase? The Moon goes Void of
Course at 1:29 pm on Thursday, January 6th, then moves into Sag. at 10:44 pm (EST), with the Balsamic (Dark of the Moon)
Phase (2SAG05) beginning very early Friday morning, January 7th at 2:12 am (EST). Then, there's a New Moon comin' on
Monday, the l0th at 7:03 am (EST). This one is in Saturn ruled Capricorn, which helps us to build firm foundations for
the rest of the year. What we put in to motion during this New Moon will affect us for a long time.
I hope you all enjoyed your Holidays. My family and I kicked back together over the past week, re-connecting and relaxing, taking a much needed
break. Between School Vacation and my husband having the week off, we managed to recharge the old batteries.
Moon sextiled Venus at 7:15 pm this morning which helped
to bless loving Moms and their families. Mercury conjuncted Pluto around 1 pm today, so some may be digging up/hearing
old news or hearing from a sibling or child..perhaps thru a late Christmas card or a phone call. Me? In search of more
"space" I spent a good part of the afternoon going thru my bookshelves, unearthing old books, "culling" what I could bear
to part with, (including some old children's books) to pass on to the grandchildren and others. Blessings, Seacrone
