Here, Everyday Life &
Conscious Aging Is Celebrated & Shared
(With Occasional, Outrageous and Insightful Crone-Tri-Butions)
The "Kalanemi" or Rim of the Great Star Wheel of Time
at the edge of the universe was thought to embody the spirit of the zodiac, and was sometimes depicted as a World Serpent
circling the earth, tail in mouth. One had to study the Kalanemi in order to learn "kalends", the chronological order
of the seasons and festivals as the great star wheel turned. They were the New Moon Sabbaths of ancient Latinium. The
lunar calendar was used in Saxon England where the month of May was known as "SproutKale", the sprouting time of
Virgin Mother earth with her archaic name of Kale, Kelle, or Kali. "Nemi" in Greco Roman culture meant Moon-grove. The
ancient astrologers viewed the zodiac/star wheel as the sacred Moon grove thru which She traveled. Here, you will find that the "everyday" and every crone/cronie's story counts as important. All are invited to
join the Moon and I as we change, laugh, cry and celebrate during our journey around the Star Wheel of the ancient Moon-grove.
A Woman's journey from Birth, throughout her
Maiden and Motherhood years, winding its way through many Lunar Phases and Progressions towards Cronedom can
be a journey of empowerment for the woman who challenges stereotypes and chooses to embrace her personal uniqueness as it
unfolds. No one who has lived long enough to experience their Uranus Opposition (when transiting Uranus opposes
it's natal position) is exempt from experiencing mid-life transits. However, all can benefit from greeting such life
transitions as a cosmic opportunity to begin to balance the left and right (male/female) side of our brains, which
in turn helps us to begin to understand and heal ourselves, one another, our relationships and our communities.

Classes & Workshops
New Moon Dreamboards II
Time & Date to be announced
In The Studio, at The Herb Wyfe
The monthly New Moon is a perfect time to begin envisioning any dreams you'd like to bring
to fruition. We'll be covering the meaning of the 12 signs and houses of the zodiac, how they correspond to different
areas of our lives, as well as discovering which house in your Natal chart each New Moon falls in 2010. We
will then explore how we can "plant" a whole year's worth of New Moon "seeds" by creating personal & unique dreamboards
that reflect our individual dreams, hopes and wishes.
Please bring a blank posterboard, a notebook, old or new magazines, your natal chart and
fondest dreams. Scissors, glue and additional old magazines will be supplied. Don't have a natal chart yet? Just let
Debi know and she can have one ready for you at the time of class. Cost for class: $40. Class & chart
$45.
NOTE: It has come to my attention that Anna Livanos, who is not known to me and is based
in Australia recently launched a website called starcrone.net. While I appreciate and respect the work she does (energetic
healing) she is not affiliated with my website.

BALSAMIC MOON, DECEMBER 16th, 12:48 pm, EST
MOON 09SCORPIO semi-squares SUN24SAG38'
NEW MOON, DEC. 20th, 9:01 EST (SUN & MOON 28SAG33')
After Friday's intense and volatile emotions the cooling
off influence of a Sun-Saturn trine will help slow down things a bit. Trust can grow once again and along with it tolerance
and wisdom. Listening patiently to others thoughts/ideas will be easier now. This Scorpio "Dark of the Moon" is ruled by Pluto,
(which represents the archetypal energy of death and re-birth) which is edging (along with the Moon) ever nearer
the Galactic Center which is a Black Hole (currently at 26SAG56' and conjunct my North Node). The GC is 4 million times
larger than our Sun and is in the heart of the Milky Way Galaxy. Pluto and the moon will be within alignment of the GC
at New Moon time (December 20th) with Pluto making an exact pass on December 28, 2006, July 16, 2007 and October
28, 2007. This is something that only happens every 248 years with the last pass having been in 1758-59, (just
prior to the Industrial and American Revolutions). Alex Miller-Mignone writes in his 'Black Hole Book' that:"The G.C.
forms a primal polarity with quasar Gaia at 26 Gemini. Energy absorbed and imploded by this black hole core of the galaxy
is disgorged by the quasar opposite; the two function as a perfect pipeline for the cosmic round-robin.The G.C. represents
both the source and the ending of the journey, the cosmic womb-tomb which birthed our system and which will one day in the
far distant future reclaim it. As the Sun is the heart of our local system, so the G.C. is the heart of the Milky Way Galaxy.
As such, the clearest metaphor we might find in myth for the G.C. relates to the Sacred Heart of Mary and the Sacred
Heart of Jesus. Mary is the sea (Latin- "mare') of the Milky Way Galaxy, from whose matrix Jesus (Greek -'ichthys" - fish),
the planetary logos of the Christ Consciousness is born. Gregg Castellucci has compared the G.C. to the Hebrew YHWH(Yahweh),
the nameless name, source of the I Am presence. The G.C. emits massive amounts of infrared radiation, which Philip Sedgwick
describes as both "arousing the subconcious portion of the brain" and providing "intense stimulation of the root chakra
creating some uneasiness or tension"....Alex Mignone further writes that "The pulsar at 24 SAG, two degrees before the G.C.
provides information relating to the past of an event; at 28 Sag, two degrees after provides information relating to the future
of an event. Those with connections on either side of the G.C. will more naturally tend to orient information in one of these
two directions. Balance may be sought by meditation with the alternate point, using the G.C. as the fulcrum between past and
future. Lying as it does just 4 degrees from the Winter Solstice Point, which surely is no coincidence, the G.C. provides
a convenient frame of reference for aligning with cosmic consciousness. When the Sun makes one of its seasonal ingresses,
it is within days/degrees of a major aspect to the G.C. These two frames of reference will come into alignment in the middle
years of the 3rd century of the next millenium, when the G.C. moves to conjoin the Solstice Point of 0 Capricorn".
'The Black Hole Book', by Alex Miller-Mignone, 1995,
1998, Draconis Publishers, a division of GLAKTIX Interstellar. Many of his fine astrological articles which incorporate his
research on Black Holes can be found on the late Maya Del Mar's Daykeeper Journal website.

We all Learn at Our Own Comfort Level
Tiffany, when you feel ready please call me again.....in the meantime, Peace be with you. In an effort
to help you understand more, this is for you:
A few thoughts about the Major Arcana card known as the Hanged Man:
Eileen Connolly, (whose works are used extensively for teaching as well as demonstrating how Astrology, Cabala and numerology
are all interrelated) writes about the symbolic meaning of this card as "Piercing the barrier of limited consciousness
and availing oneself of higher wisdom...Able to look above present situations and conditions. May indicate great foresight
and stamina....new and innovative ideas. Unexpected change." She also writes in her meditation for this card, "Only when we
are willing to listen can we hear from God...Ask your Higher Power to uplift your soul...open your eyes to spiritual vision,
to release you from any fears...to silence your racing thoughts and you will be given the "peace that passeth all understanding".
Eden Gray, another author and expert has written about this card (and again, I paraphrase): "In the Hanged
Man is the idea of the human personality's dependence on the Tree of Cosmic Life.... It is associated with Hercules as
a symbol of the sun in its passage thru the 12 steps of initiation upon which the lower forces of the signs of the zodiac
will have been transmuted into the higher uplifting powers of each sign.... After the 12th step, at the accomplishment of
overcoming the personality/ego and transmution of the lower passions into pure gold, one finds the initiate now upright
and ultimately needing to learn to stand on his own two feet and surmount the cross... In spiritual matters it represents
wisdom and prophetic power... A time to pause... A time of decisions."
Following is a little of what Vicki Noble has to say about this card in her Motherpeace Deck: "...as one of the many
traditions that belonged originally to the Goddess and was later taken over by a male god and changed to suit his new religion.
"Artemis, the Hanged One" had a sanctuary in Arcadia in ancient Greece where the cypress tree was sacred to her...In
Norse myth, Odin (who had replaced the Goddess Freya) hung himself (upside down) for 9 days and nights (for enlightenment)
from the Yggdrasil (The Tree of Life)...and in more familiar Christian tradition, Jesus was hung from the cross at Calvary...and
miraculously resurrected" All of these stories represent the initiatory process of trust, balance, love and surrender
to a Higher Power. Most importantly, Noble goes on to say that this card does not mean fear or pain, ..."but rather a sense
of ecstasy and surrender to love."....to still the mind as much as possible and listen to another part of yourself, the heart,
that deep still center from which visions come. Find the female part of yourself, allow the irrational to surface, let the
full moon hold sway, breathe deeply. The Goddess within wants to talk with you."
This card indicates it may be time to reach out to the God/dess in order to learn your true purpose in life. For me,
it reminds me of when my Mother would sometimes jokingly say to me: "Maybe I should just hang you out on the clothesline by
your toenails for a while and let God deal with you." Ayuh. Thanks, Mom (I think).
Well, we are in the disseminating phase of the moon right now folks ( as of 9:24 am EST today), so it's
certainly the right time to share and communicate important messages. While during this particular moon phase we might feel
a sense of urgency in conveying them to others, (even though they may have asked) they may not see it, even begin to
understand it, or receive it in the same way. That is o.k. for it is the open, nonjudgmental inclusiveness
of all views that is the beauty of this moon phase as well. ~ Blessings, Debi

Sunshine on a Full Moon Day (this evening at 7:25 pm, EST)
Woke up to a peaceful, gentle light snowfall this morning. Took the dogs out and the new puppy (Pixie), never having
seen snow before decided she doesn't like the cold on her "toes". Casey and Rosie, old veterans of colder weather didn't
even notice it had snowed. Later this morning the sun came out and melted the "frosting". Time to go for a walk down
Barn Island.
Saturday, Dec. 2nd: The Second Annual Open House at The Herb Wyfe was a smashing success for all! Great food,
live music, wonderful practitioners donating their time, and a big crowd who thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and the weather
was delightful. I'll be doing readings there the lst and 3rd Saturdays of each month, so do drop in to see me sometime!
Have a lovely Full Moon evening and don't forget to check out my Full Moon forecast on the Current Lunation page.
Blessings! ~ Debi
