New Moon in Libra (6LIBRA33')
Sept. 29th at 4:12 am
One of the ancient symbols for the 6th degree of Libra according to "Charubel" is: "An old fashioned signboard
suspended from the branch of a tree before an ancient looking wayside inn." This can indicate: "One of a very
sonservative disposition; one who reveres the usages and customs of by-gone days. An antiquarian and a relic-hunter."
As the leaves slowly turn, no doubt the leaf peepers will be hitting the roads and exploring little out
of the way inns and antique shops. That is if anyone has any money left....Hmmm.. hasn't seem to slow down the
people headed to the casinos much....
The Venus ruled New Moon is a great time to begin/renew relationships especially when striving for a more
egalitarian balance, and especially so if it occurs in your natal 7th house.
Venus can represent money, so on a more wide scale it's a propitious time for the government to find some
sort of balance in the money sector. No doubt whatever they hatch up as a "solution" will trickle down to the taxpayers.
According to some, this could figure out to be approx. $2300 per every man woman and child. Well, if that is the case,
then we should all get to choose $2300 worth of the finest stocks to add to our own portfolios. Sounds like a fair exchange
to me. Especially for those of us with large families!

Sun & Moon at 7VIRGO48'
From "La Volasfera", translated by "Sepharial" this degree of Virgo represents: "A woodland
scene, at the back of which there stands a tower upon a hill." "It indicates a free, open generous spirit, frank and
natural mind with a strong taste for natural beauties, exalted ideals, and contemplative nature." Sepharial also felt this
gave inclination to mountain climbing or ascent of high places. It denotes success in life of a quiet order, and a retired
old age. It is a degree of CONTEMPLATION.
Since the only towers you'll probably find around here are mostly Ivory ones
occupied by the elderly wealthy, some of which aren't very generous or open minded (especially when it comes to understanding
younger folk) why not go climb up Haystack Mountain (in CT) this weekend to an old tower there that offers
an incredible view out over the countryside...Or, even better, you can really blow this town, and head up to Mt. Katahdin
in Maine, and let the clean, cool air get out all the cobwebs out of your head. Just don't decide to stay.
There's already so many people that have moved up to Southern Maine that we native Northern Mainers now and then
threaten to succede from the rest of the state and call the southern part Mass. Ayuh. On second thought, just stay
home. "You can't get there from here" anyways.
Well, if you're still with me, here's another interp. of this degree. This one is by Martin
Goldsmith:
"A LITTLE GIRL PERFORMS A SPINNING DANCE AT HER FIRST RECITAL".
Goldsmith feels this is a degree of joyous self expression, coordinating mind
and body, learning correct deportment, in public and in private, for example standing on one's own two feet vs. tottering
dependence on social approval (learning to stand up to public criticism) and my favorite, being absolutely true to oneself:
THE DANCE OF LIFE; being and becoming as the two strands of life (DNA).
And while some of us middle-aged folk might not make it up to the top of the mountain
as often as we used to, we can still "cut a rug" just fine, thank-you. As ever, Debi

In Martin Goldsmith's Book: 'The Zodiac by Degrees' he writes that this degree represents:
"In the wee hours, a man looks from his window to see two beams of light flickering a
message across the city. Minutes later, he is on the street with a flashlight, in pursuit of a mysterious lady."
Hmmmm....must have been before cell phones. Anyways, some of the descriptive phrases
he uses for this degree are:
"Following up on intuitions or psychic flashes; tracking down some nefarious influence
(getting to the bottom of something vs. relying on inference); developing a reliable information network vs. tapping into
untrustworthy sources....."...developing one's unique magic (charisma); following up on uncanny talent or vision;...passionate
pursuit of social ideals in the face of opposition vs. entanglements with shady characters...."
This Gemini New Moon is ruled by the planet Mercury which can represent communications,
travel, youth, siblings, etc. Since it is transiting my 4th house of home/roots and is conjunct my Venus
in Gemini, it can indicate a good time or new start in communicating with my family (especially children or siblings)
in a loving way, beautifying my home, perhaps with flowers (I have been working in my gardens non-stop) and perhaps watching
out for a sweet-tooth, and/or eating while driving or working on the computer - lol!
Since Mercury is currently retrograde, one needs to have clarity in thier communications,
allow ample time for transportation and allow for the fact that people can be running late, missing appointments, and communication
equipment and cars can require repairs. Mercury goes direct once again on June 20th. I find that Mercury retro can be
a good time to go back over written material for re-vision.

New Moon, March 7th at 12:14 pm (EST)
Sun & Moon at 17PISCES31'
In Sepharial's translation of the "La Volasfera" this degree is considered: "A horse and
its rider falling at a fence." ..."Let all such keep their passions in subjection by the power of the will and bridle their
desires".
He felt that this degree led to dangers in outdoor sports, especially of the equestrian kind. As an
avid horsewoman my whole life, I've taken my share of falls, but in this case, it wasn't from a horse. It was the
stairs I fell down the other night. I had woken up with a start around 4 am and thought my son had not come home yet
with the car. I flew down the stairs (in stocking feet) to call his cell phone (no answer) and slipped. Ouch!
Come to find out, (after I had picked myself up off the floor, got an ice pack for my arm and wrist), and went back upstairs
I checked his room and there he was asleep the whole time (he had parked the car further down the driveway where I couldn't
see it out the window). Lesson? To not jump to conclusions, to not assume anything and to not jump
so easily to anger - which is hard to do with teen-agers in the house. Since this New Moon fell in my first house (and
then went void of course soon after) I mellowed out by taking the day off, listening to old Joan Baez
records, reading Rumi & Hafiz, napping & resting my voice and drank plenty of water - I have laryngitis. Trust
me, if I had felt better I would have been out dancing tonight. I had to settle for watching a dance troupe on T.V.
("Forever Tango", who will be performing in Hartford, CT May 9th). You betcha I'm getting tickets.
The Pisces New Moon can be a sensitive, emotional, intuitive and creative time in which to
start any new creative projects related to Neptune ruled areas such as music, art, film, photography & poetry. Neptune
also rules the water, (it's pouring out here right now), as well as alchohol, drugs, oil, etc. This New Moon in
conjunction with transiting Uranus can also act as a wake up call and help to break through any veils of illusion.
For some it might be a good time to start a program to help end any addictions they might be dealing with. Others
may want to start some sort of therapy/healing in order to explore themselves more deeply and begin to understand
their inner needs. Many will find it a period of heightened intuition when they can get more in touch
with their psychic and spiritual side, especially through dreams.

NEW MOON/SOLAR ECLIPSE
FEBRUARY 6th, 2008
SUN & MOON CONJUNCT AT 17AQUARIUS44'
A symbol for the Sun and Moon at nearly 18 degrees Aquarius is:
"An ominous silence falls asthe last man at a masquerade party prepares to unmask. Outside, a thunderstorm
in brewing." (from Martin Goldsmith's 'The Zodiac by Degrees', Weiser books)
Goldsmith feels this symbol acts in such a way as to bring negative undertones to the surface and then clears
the air like a thunderstorm, "...by breaking through fears and doubts that isolate people from each other".
This New Moon/Solar eclipse can represent change and progress symbolic of the sign Aquarius and its planetary
ruler, Uranus. These changes might be expressed in an hasty and untimely way, although perhaps innovative as well. Attention
may turn to social movement and humanitarian causes and concerns.

Sepharial considers the 22nd degree of Cancer: "A man asleep in the heat of the
day, some implements beside him." To him this represents "Indolence".
While Neptune is quincunx the Sun and Moon (which might find some daydreaming when
they have to or should be working), to me, I think an afternoon Siesta sounds about right for those of us who work hard
all week! Just make sure any dreams you may be "cooking up" (Mars is conjunct Ceres) are grounded in reality and allowed to
take root. If you do need to stay on task today, Venus enters Virgo in the afternoon lending a discriminatory and competent
hand. The Moon then moves into dramatic Leo at 10:43 pm livening things up a bit by helping everyone have some fun.
Go see the movie Ratatouie (I probably didn't spell it right, but who gives a rat's patooey)! I've seen it already and
it was great fun!
As always, check to see which house this New Moon falls in your natal chart and
any aspects it makes to your natal planets to clues as to what areas of your life may be activated this month. For example
this New Moon falls in my natal 6th house which is concerned with health, habits, pets, work. It's a great time to put oneself
on a serious health regime, which is just what I have done. The New Moon also falls on the mid-point of my natal Mars/Uranus
conjunction which has always been a great time for me to become more active physically, whether it is weight-lifting, martial
arts, fencing, riding or walking the dogs. Presently, I am walking regularly, doing Yoga, taking dance classes and have
completely overhauled my diet. Out went the coffee, sugar, eggs, dairy, wheat, butter, red meat, etc. In went whole
foods - natural foods, anti-inflamatory foods (see the book 'The Ultra-Simple Diet' for more). I'm losing weight and feeling
fantastic. ~ Debi

La Volasfera (as translated by Sepharial) considers the 24th degree of Gemini as
representing "Several sparrows collected together, chattering and pluming themselves in the dust." "This can indicate a certain
socialness and joviality, given to luxury and convivial pursuits, but unselfish, happy in the company of others, forming many
friendships. Ever ready to express one's honest nature by word of mouth or in spontaneous action. Gifted in the art of persuasion,
sympathetic. It is a degree of FRIENDSHIP."Charubel (1820-1908) wrote that this degree represents "A Deer".
Since this particular New Moon is ruled by Mercury, check your natal chart not
only to see what house the lunation falls in, but also where your natal Mercury is and any aspects formed.
This New Moon is a good time for new beginnings in the area of communications (especially
with youths), writing, transportation, cars, computers, phones, relationships with siblings, friendships. Just remember Mercury
goes retrograde Friday (15th) and allow for delays. That's no excuse though for forgetting to call Dad or sending
him a card for Father's Day. Plan accordingly - and forget the ties. Try a new cell phone instead. ~

"A fair woman, leading a child by the hand, and gathering flowers by the way."
The La Volasfera refers to this New Moon degree as loving and agreeable in nature, disposed to find happiness
in the execution of common duties; a lover of domestic peace and of tolerance in all things. It is a degree of Concord."
The Sabian Symbol for 26 degrees of Taurus is "A Spanish gallant serenades his
beloved; the ritualization of individual desires." Keyword: Constancy. "A poetry of living and a music of desire
become the final touchstones for a true self-fulfillment." Well, Ricky Martin was in town the other night....
"In Saxon England the month (of May) was called Sproutkale: the sprouting time
of Virgin-Mother Earth with her archaic name of Kale, Kelle or Kali. Another name for the month was Tri-Milchi, improbably
derived by the Venerable Bede from a theory that the Saxon cows gave milk three times a day in May. Alternatively, it
meant the Triple Goddess's appearance in the form of three cows." (Barbara Walker's: 'The Women's Encyclopedia of Myths
and Secrets')
And when in Noank, CT do try the Seahorse Restaurant's 3 Milk Cake...it's out of
this world. I also recall trying it one year at The Cuckoo's Nest restaraunt in Old Saybrook for Mother's Day Brunch.
Yum.

NEW MOON, April 17th at 7:37 am, EDT
SUN & MOON at 27ARIES05'
The ancient symbol for 27Aries is: "A man in a garden, pruning some trees."
This New Moon in Aries is all about new starts with the added impetus of a Mars
ruled Moon to help propel us along. Transiting Mars (sextile the Moon transiting the 12th house*) is conjunct the transiting
asteroid Pallas Athena in the 11th house of friendships helping to get everyone moving on new joint ventures, especially with
friends (who may be full of good money making ideas). Moon is trine Pluto which can lend great intensity and makes it easier
to quickly get to the point. Mars conjunct Uranus can lend great courage to one's activities, but may also lead
to an attraction to dangerous sports or activities. It's important that energy levels be expressed/channeled constructively
and safely. This is a good time to begin dance lessons, a weight lifting program and favorable for any Mars
ruled activities or vocations including policework, doctors, EMT, surgeons, cooks, sculptors, people who work with engines,
cutting cloth/sewing, etc. When the Moon moves into Venus ruled Taurus later this morning, it can help to provide the
grounding and resources necessary to help get any new projects off the ground as well as reminding us to fuel our bodies with
nourishing food. ~ Peaceful Blessings, Debi

MARCH, 2007
During the Kalends of March,
(from the Saxon Lenet-monath "lengthening of days"), the Roman Matronalia or Feast of Mothers was celebrated by women in the
sacred grove between the Aventine & Palatine hills followed by a period of chastity and fasting (which the church converted
to Lent) until the festival of Ceres in April.
NEW MOON & Partial Solar Eclipse
March 18th at 10:43 p.m., EDT
SUN & MOON at 28PISCES07'
"Light breaking into many colors as it passes through a prism" (Sabian symbol
for the 29th degree of Pisces)
Pisces (being the sign of devotion as well as occasional self sacrifice/undoing)
in the 29th degree of Pisces, is in the dwad of Aquarius (love for humanity/universal brotherhood) and in the Scorpio decanate.
While Pisces (and Scorpio) are both willing to sacrifice self for a good cause, devotion can tend to become
overpowering during this time.
The number twenty-nine is made up of the number 2 and the number 9. When added
together they total 11 which can represent an idealist. Helyn Hitchcock in her book on Numerology says that the
number ll means "You can open doors and help others." With the Sun so near the 29th degree of Pisces one may be
feeling that every opportunity may be their last. However, while it's wonderful to help others, one must also remember
not to become a martyr as with the Moon at 29 Pisces one may find if they're not careful they can become an over-giving
nurturer who often receives little gratitude in return. Again, balance and moderation along with the need to
pace oneself is necessary.
Rose Lineman (in her book on Eclipses) briefly describes the activity of a solar
eclipse in Pisces as being "gentle and subdued." She also mentions that if the energy is not used properly it can also be
"haphazard and aimless". Positively,"it is often expressed by psychic or spiritual means and usually reflects mystical
qualities." In a late degree of Pisces she feels it can reinforce ones spiritual attributes as well as enphasizing secretive
qualities.
Just as the number 29 when added together equals
11, the number ll when added together equals two which can mean duality. Therefore, a planet at 29 degrees has within
it the sign of its location as well as the sign following. A planet at 29 degress of Pisces might also be thought
of as containing ALL the signs preceeding it before beginning over again in Aries, making this a good time to review
any wisdom that may have been gained from personal experience during the Sun's journey through all twelve signs of the
zodiac. Decide what to keep and what to let the watery Neptune New Moon wash away. Just after midnite the Moon enters Aries,
followed by the Aries ingress on the 20th, which is the vernal equinox, the beginning of Spring and new growth here
in the Northern hemisphere. ~ Wishing You All Springtime Blessings, Debi

NEW MOON - February 17th at 11:14 a.m, EST
SUN & MOON at 28AQUARIUS37'
The New Moon chart set for Stonington, CT
gives us an ASC of 11Gemini 22’ conjunct the Part of Fortune which indicates that clear communication and seeking of
knowledge during this New Moon is vital. With Aquarius on the Mid Heaven some will be thinking of wanting to make some sort
of contribution to humanity. No doubt the presidential candidates are gearing up for more speeches; better they wait until
Mercury goes retrograde March 8th! While Mercury (retrograde) conjunct Uranus can cause ones speech to be sudden, unusual or
erratic, the Sun & Moon Sextile Pluto can help one to express themselves powerfully and in a positive manner. It also
helps in renewing our vitality. In fact, this can be a propitious time to begin to mould our lives in the manner of our choosing.
Mercury (albeit retrograde) conjuncts the N. Node making this an excellent time for speech pathologists to exercise patience
and slow down if need be in order to teach good communication style and breathing exercises.
Venus at 26 degrees of Pisces (whose
symbol is “A new Moon that divides its influences”) is sextile (a 30 degree aspect) to Mars in Capricorn (good
for joint ventures) which blends charm & assertiveness, gentleness with strength. Venus is also square Pluto so guard
against being manipulative to get what you want physically or monetarily. Jupiter in Sag trines Saturn making for an easy
blend of enthusiasm and self control so maintaining a balance between perserverance and moderation should be easy to do. Jupiter sextiles Neptune which helps with artistic talent, and a great aspect
for going to a workshop, concert, visiting an art gallery to appreciate another artist’s work, or perhaps your own!
With Saturn opposite Neptune, artists, photographers and musicians will need to maintain a blend of
discipline/self-confidence, and a balance between one’s artistic and rational side in order to complete their work. Jupiter
squaring Uranus sometimes indicates things don’t always come quickly.
The Sabian symbol for 29 Aquarius is
“A Butterfly emerging from its chrysalis”.
Remember the words of that old song that
went: "Too much, too little, too late"? Well, the 29th degree of any sign is considered an anaretic degree, i.e.
a point that having gone all the way through a sign and just getting ready to enter a new one can indicate where we may feel
we are getting too much or too little of something. In this case with the Sun
and Moon nearly at 29 degrees of Aquarius and getting ready to move into Pisces, there may be too much or too little social
life or perhaps it’s restricted by someone/something else, or perhaps the intuition is highly developed but one simply
needs encouragement to use it. There may be too little or too much enjoyment through
friendships, or one may only want to be "a friend" and not a sweetheart, or perhaps one is feeling the other
is too possessive. One thing’s for sure, the free-spirit of Aquarius cannot feel free while attempting to maintain the
status quo as the result is social frustration. During this New Moon we are being prompted to develop friendships/relationships
that are fruitful and growth oriented!
NEW MOON - January 18th, 2007 at 11:02 pm, EST
SUN conjunct MOON at 28CAPRICORN41'
The "La
Volasfera", Translated by "Sepharial" indicates that the 29th degree of Capricorn is "A dark & lonely pool overhung
by wooded banks". It is a degree of CONTEMPLATION: In the silence and solitude of his own soul he will enter into an
intimate commune with nature and will be blessed with an understanding of her more obscure laws....His mind will be pervaded
by a peace which none will be able to disturb. He will walk by the side of Mother Nature and his soul will be lifted to a
place of rest."
Saturn, ruler of both this New Moon and transiting Sun is in Leo in the 11th house
of friendships conjunct the asteroid Juno, square Vesta, and trine Pluto and Astraea. Astraea squares the Transneptune
Vulcanus, and Apollon (which is conjunct Juno) and also squares the Sun and Moon.
This can indicate a time of feeling strongly compelled to get some sort of closure around
a relationship/partnership that may be changing or ending as well as adjusting to relationship or business partnership responsibilities
at work. Although one may feel that they must stoically stay in any given situation until the bitter end, one can also realize
that as one door closes others may open up. While this can be a time of new growth and new beginnings, one's relationships
(of all kinds) must be allowed to change and grow as well while refraining from keeping score or getting even. The deepest
"dark of the moon" phase ,which is from the time the Moon goes into the SIGN of the New Moon (Capricorn), which began
on 1/16 at 8:49 pm until the actual time of the New Moon (1/18th at 11:02 pm, est) is when we can do our deepest inner
work and contemplation. The ancient astrologers referred to this as the "time to do the impossible", and if the
Moon's degree conjuncts one's part of fortune during this time, so much the better.
You might want to think about taking a walk, then perhaps make yourself
something hot/mulled to drink while wrapping up warmly in front of the fire "mulling" over some inner thoughts of
your own. Write down the things you want to "plant" and begin to manifest during this New Moon cycle. Make sure to include any
positive changes you may want to make in your relationships/partnerships. ~ Blessings, seacrone
**NEW MOON** November 20th, 2006 5:17:57 pm EST
Sun conjunct Moon at 29Scorpio:
A New Moon Spiritual Crossroads
Scorpio new moon at 5:17:57 pm EST, conjuncts Jupiter and goes void of course at 6:54 pm
and enters Sagittarius at 8:15 pm. The 29th degree is considered an
anaretic degree where the energy of a particular sign (in this case Scorpio) has gone all the way thru a sign gaining intensity
as it aspects other points in one’s chart. It dually contains the sign it’s in as well as the sign which follows.
There may be the feeling that one can’t get enough of someone or something, or there’s too much or too little
just before a change is about to take place. Scorpio rules physical needs, but is also spiritual. One’s physical needs
must also answer ones moral codes. With both the Sun, Moon and Jupiter at this degree of Scorpio, there may be too much or
too little emotional pleasure as one struggles realizing that while the soul
requires the involvement of others in expressing oneself, one must also be able to let go of them when the time comes.
Charubel characterizes the 29th degree of Scorpio as
“A man with a bow and arrow in the act of taking aim at some object in the distance.” Sounds like this man was
indeed taking careful aim and looking forward to letting his arrow of experience/new
inspiration fly into the sign of Sagittarius. By letting go of any doubts and fears that may have built up and by carefully
choosing the wisdom we wish to retain from the sum of our experience as the planetary
line-up finishes in Scorpio over the next week, we will feel optimistic hope rise once again as the Moon moves into Sagittarius
later Monday nite. Time to take that leap of faith! The Sun conjuncts Jupiter on Tuesday afternoon and enters Sagittarius
at 6:02 am on Wednesday followed by Mercury (10Scorpio49) trine Uranus in Pisces
(which stationed direct on the 19th) helping to break up any inspirational logjams. ~ Blessings, Debi

**MAY/SPROUTKALE**
Are you beginning to think about what "seed capsules" you want to plant during May's
New Moon Phase in order for them to germinate and begin to emerge during the Crescent Moon Phase?
Best time this month to "break new ground" for optimum self-growth and glean any seeds/kernels from the Balsamic
(Dark of the Moon, May 4th 1:26 pm EDT) is from the time the Moon enters the sign of the New Moon (Taurus)
at 8:01 pm (EDT) on May 6th until the actual time of the New Moon which is early morn on Mother's
Day, May 8th at 4:46 am(EDT) at 17Taurus52'.
The Sabian Symbol for 18Taurus is: "A Woman holding a bag out of a window" Keyword:
Facilitation.
An excellent time to get everything out into the open in order to air things
out, which helps one to rid themselves of excess baggage and helps the facilitation of moving forward
in one's life.

April
We had two eclipses during April: A Solar Eclipse on April 8th at 19Aries06
(New Moon) and a Lunar Eclipse on April 24th at 04Scorpio12 (Full Moon).
The April 8th Solar Eclipse belongs to the Saros Cycle of Eclipses called 7 North
which is a series of eclipses that started on October 3, 1103, o.s., at 3:08:03 GMT, North Pole and will end November
5, 2347. The eclipses in this cycle were in 1915, 1933, 1951, 1969, 1987, and continue in 2005, 2023 and 2041.
The flavor of this eclipse cycle is New Moon = Pluto = Venus/Mars. Bernadette Brady, (in her book affectionately known as 'The Eagle and the Lark') refers to this as a
"sensual family of eclipses" ranging from sudden passions to procreative drives . It is not a subtle cycle as it "can
catch people off guard and confront them with their own very deep passion which may have been hidden for many years."
Rose Lineman, in her 'Eclipse Interpretation Manual'
describes a Solar Eclipse in Aries as one that "indicates initiative and dynamic
action." The Sun lends its steadying hand to Aries drive, with a Jupiter influence expanding it. The "pioneering spirit" of
Aries is combined with the "war-like qualities of Mars, planetary ruler of the sign." Wherever 19Aries06 falls in your natal
chart and any aspects formed, as well as Mars placement would be the area(s) affected.
The Scorpio Lunar Eclipse (of April 24th at 04Scorpio12) is decribed by Rose Lineman
as one that "..heightens emotional intensity and strengthens inner resolve." "A Scorpio Lunar eclipse paired with an Aries
Solar eclipse can be described as "Aries off and running before Scorpio gets started." It's important to "utilize those Scorpio
qualities that promote resolve and lend continuity to Arian expression and suppress Scorpio attributes that would smother
incentive". Again, check to see where this eclipse fell in your natal chart and any aspects formed.
For me, it was to be a 2nd house Solar Eclipse/9th house Lunar Eclipse combination
which indicated that 9th house affairs such as those of a Spiritual/intellectual nature would help promote my financial interests
if any ethical/moral attitude that might be blocking 2nd house progress were removed. I utilized the Arian energy of
these eclipses by remaining passionate about my work in astrology, opened my heart up to the idea of abundance, resolved
to carry thru with the busy schedule that came from doing so, while staying balanced in a heart-centered place.
April turned out to be a very good month for me and I am thankful for it and my new clients.
March
March's New Moon can be best summed up by it's Sabian Symbol: "A Table Set
for an Evening Meal" (20Pisces)
"An indication that at the end at the appointed time the individual's needs will be met among
those to whom he is linked by a spiritual web of energies. After a long chain of personal existences the Soul returns
to its spiritual home at the close of the day-of-manifestation. There it finds that which renews and amply sustains; the happiness
of the 'beyond of existence' is experienced, if all has gone well. As the life closes, the Soul - conciousness finds
nourishment in the harvest of whatever during the whole life has been relevant to the archetypal purpose and destiny of the
Soul - one of the myriad aspects of the divine creative void which began the cycle."
